DIRECTIONS FROM San Jose Airport TO HOTEL

  • Exit airport terminal and join Interamericana Highway West following signs for San Ramon and Punterenas.
  • Driving west on the Interamericana Highway between the turnoffs for Naranjo and San Ramon take the turnoff for PALMARES and head 1km towards town where you will arrive at a stoplight.
  • Cotinue straight ahead 3 blocks and make a right following signs for Zaragoza, Orotina and Atenas. Proceed one block and then make a left on to the main road to Zaragoza Arriving at the small village of Zaragoza 1km make a right turn at Bar Lira.
  • Proceed one block then make a left. Proceed one block then make a right.
  • Take this road to the top of the hill and you arrive at the property gate.

  • Please note In Costa Rica, a block is equal to 100 meters. There are no addresses or blocks

November 15, 2009 NOTE- Due to the financial crisis in the United States and most other countries in the world, I have not been able to secure a mortgage in Costa Rica. Therefore, my accessability renovations including the installation of the elevator and improvements to the bathrooms have been unavoidably delayed. This project is my highest priority. I want to let you know that my stay at your place for 10 days was wonderful!
The name "Tranquility Hill" is very suiting to your place.  It is everything and more than I expected.  It is very peaceful and quiet. When I would sit outside in the early morning I could hear nothing but the birds;  AND the beautiful butterflies would land on me and stay for a little while. In the evening, the peepers were the only sound to be heard and sitting outside in the lovely surroundings of  flowers, trees and "pure nature" was simply wonderful. Your home is truly a place where one can stay to refresh the mind and the spirit. I can't wait to come back and stay again!  Barbara Williams, Halifax, NS

Palmares Festival Begins - 13th January 2010

Thousands of party lovers will descend on the town of Palmares West of San Jose for the beginning of the 12 day Palmares festival.

Some of the attractions include bull fights, live music, soccer tournaments, carnivals, rodeos and more.
