Our President
Daniel MacLellan, formerly from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada is the president of Casa Tranquillity. He recently chose Palmares and Costa Rica as the ideal spot on our tiny planet to retire to. Dan worked in the information technology sector with the Nova Scotia Government for thirty years. As a person with a disability, he was very involved in many not-for-profit community organizations in his communiy. He was the founding chairperson of the Independent Living Resource Centre Nova Scotia and was national chairperson of Independent Living Canada for 5 years.
Dan chose Palmares because of the warm, friendly people and ideal climate. No more harsh Canadian winters for him! His priority is enchancing Casa Tranquillity so it is universally accessible to other persons wih disabilities, and to create a friendly, quiet, home away from home for his guests.

November 15, 2009 NOTE- Due to the financial crisis in the United States and most other countries in the world, I have not been able to secure a mortgage in Costa Rica. Therefore, my accessability renovations including the installation of the elevator and improvements to the bathrooms have been unavoidably delayed. This project is my highest priority. It will be completed at the earliest possible date. I apologize to all persons with disabilities who are considering coming here in the next few months.
